A Paper Heart Garland
In this blog post, I’m sharing how to make a paper heart garland.
A garland is lovely for birthdays, holidays, and other special occasions. A heart garland would be perfect for special occasions like a baby shower or Valentine’s Day.
You may also like to make a paper garland with other shapes like bunnies for Easter or flowers in the spring. Paper crafts can be fun for children to make as well.

I made a paper heart garland with light pink scrapbook paper and white velvet ribbon. You can also make a garland with patterned scrapbook paper and other kinds of ribbon.
Last year, while attending a Christmas house tour with my daughters, I loved the pink decor, such as pink paper chains and pink velvet ribbon, that was in one of the homes. I love paper chains too and I’m hoping to make a paper chain for Valentine’s Day. I feel like this paper heart garland would look pretty displayed with a paper chain made from the same scrapbook paper.
How to Make a Paper Heart Garland
To make this paper heart garland, you will need a heart cookie cutter or another heart template, scrapbook paper, a pencil, scissors, a paper punch, and ribbon. Be sure to follow the safety precautions for making and displaying a garland.
- Place a heart cookie cutter or another heart template on a piece of scrapbook paper and trace the heart with a pencil.
- Trace and cut out the number of paper hearts you would like for your garland.
- With a paper punch, make two holes near the top of each paper heart.
- Connect the paper hearts with ribbon to make a garland.
- You can attach a bow to the ribbon on each paper heart.
I hope you like making a paper heart garland and have a lovely day!
